The Messerschmitt Bf109G-6 was one of the most numerous versions of this famous German WWII fighter aircraft. Known to its pilots as the GUSTAV it eventually served in all theatres were the Luftwaffe was active and the aircraft were also used to defend Germany against the American daylight bombing raids. The Bf109G-6 was powered by a Daimler-Benz DB605 inverted V-12 engine rated at 1,47hp and was typically armed with two 13mm MG131 guns in the upper cowl and one 20mm MG151 or 30mm Mk.108 cannon firing through the center of the spinner.
