The General Dynamics F-111E is a versatile multi-purpose fighter-bomber in the service of the USAF. Based on the original F-111A, the -E version differs primarily in the use of the revised
Triple-Plow II engine inlet. Like the preceding -A model, the -E was designed with the Radar Homing and Warning gear (RHAW) installed. Hard points for additional electronics are located under the wings and fuselage. The total production run for the F-111E amounted to 94 units.
